Nice comment from Steve Shanafelt at
Mountain Express about "Rapid Ralph Runs the Roads":
I think one of the most watchable shows — for reasons I can’t fully explain — is “Rapid Ralph Runs the Roads.” It’s essentially a half-hour of Ralph Roberts (a regular on the MountainX.com blogs) driving around and talking. It sounds awful, I know, but it’s hypnotically entertaining. Roberts just kind of rambles on about where tobacco fields used to be or how much some place has changed, but it’s always interesting in the exact same way anyone talking about a place they love is.
It kind of reminds me of taking rides with my grandfather when I was a little kid, and having him point out how nothing in his one-horse town was the same once the second bank opened up and they put in that “stop-and-go” light.Actually, it's an hour-long show, it only seems like 30 minutes.
